edmesh offers weekly Yoga for M.E. classes to its members at the MS Therapy Centre on Bonnington Road.
Yoga is a form of exercise that focuses on breath control, simple meditation and postures. It’s a good way to promote relaxation, flexibility, balance and strength.
The classes are lead by Eva Alberiche, a teacher accredited with The British Wheel of Yoga, and follow the principles of Viniyoga. Eva is very tuned in to the problems of ME/CFS and can vary her programme to suit individual needs.
Classes last for an hour and are designed with the needs of people with ME/CFS in mind. They involve gentle stretching and breathing exercises, and a little strengthening exercise. You can stop at any time and rest in relaxation.
Classes start at 3.45pm and 6pm every Wednesday. Courses last for 6 weeks and cost £30, payable at the first class.
Yoga for M.E. classes are open to edmesh members. To book your place or for more information, please contact ana@edmesh.org.uk or call 0845 625 2025. To find out more about becoming a member, visit our Membership page.
