Autumn/winter cafe meetings

For the autumn and winter, we revert to meeting at Debenhams fourth floor cafe, Princes Street, Edinburgh, on the first Wednesday of the month.

The next meetings will be held at:

October 7 at 2.30pm
November 4 at 2.30pm
December 2 at 2.30pm

Runner completes half marathon to raise funds for edmesh - please donate!

Katie MacLaren has successfully completed the half marathon in the Great Scottish Run in 2 hours 21 mins. Katie was running on behalf of edmesh - you can still contribute via the donate page. edmesh will let Katie know how much her run has raised from donations.

Our regular monthly get-togethers have resumed at the Holyrood Palace cafe for the summer months. The next few meetings will be:

Meetings are normally held on the first Wednesday of each month, so note the change of date in July [...]

Needs Assessment for CFS/ME - comments welcome

The main aims of the project are to:

Establish the incidence of CFS/ME in Scotland
Describe what services are currently available for CFS/ME sufferers and their effectiveness

The Believe in ME report has now been published by NHS Lothian. A printed version has been sent out to everyone on the edmesh mailing list, and it has also been distributed by Lothian Health to health professionals and planners.

Unfortunately, edmesh have learned today (Friday) that Dr Jonathan Kerr is ill with flu and will be unable to travel to Edinburgh to give his talk on Saturday 9 May.
We have therefore decided to cancel Saturday’s open meeting at 2pm at the Lammermuir Hall, St Cuthbert’s Church.
