Needs Assessment for CFS/ME – comments welcome

The Scottish Public Health Network is currently undertaking a needs assessment for CFS/ME, and would like to hear from anyone suffering from the condition.

The main aims of the project are to:

  • Establish the incidence of CFS/ME in Scotland
  • Describe what services are currently available for CFS/ME sufferers and their effectiveness
  • Ascertain any new services required, with a view to providing them

This project involves clinicians Scotland-wide. A report has already been drafted, which is available to comment on. The lead author of the report is Phil Mackie, ScotPHN Lead Consultant and Senior Specialist in Public Health, NHS Lothian.
