Nasim Marie Jafry will be launching and signing copies of her debut novel The State of Me at Waterstones, George Street, Edinburgh, on Wednesday 20 August. The event begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are free, available from the branch or by calling 0131 225 3436.

The novel follows the adventures of Helen, a student who becomes ill with ME in her early twenties, and must move back home to live with her parents. Over the next decade, her family ties, friendships and relationships are viewed through the prism of her illness, with consequences both sad and funny.

The State of Me has already received acclaim, with 5-star reviews on Amazon. It will be reviewed by the ME Association in the next Essentials Magazine.
